MSc/Dip/Cert in Pain Management

Welcome

The Cert/Dip/MSc in Pain Management programme provides advanced pain management education for graduates in medicine, dentistry, nursing, physiotherapy, psychology and other disciplines involved in pain management.

Following the core curriculum of the International Association for the Study of Pain, subjects have been designed to update and expand knowledge in the basic sciences, concepts and procedures of pain assessment and management in a variety of human settings. The programme aims to educate clinical practitioners so they are better enabled to deliver improved patient care and clinical outcomes. The course is clinically relevant, informed by international research and covers the relevant basic sciences, concepts of pain, and clinical approaches and procedures for acute and chronic management of pain by multi-professional teams. This programme will equip students with the knowledge and skills to be able to manage pain more effectively in their professional environment and use the qualification to help drive career goals.

The closing date for application into academic year 2011/2012 has now passed. We will be accepting applications for academic year 2012/2013 from January 2012.
